How 50 influencers worked together to build a cubby house and deliver a dream for a family in need.
The Bloggers Brunch took place in Brisbane on Friday 27th July.
Over 50 influencers with access to 3 Million Mums came together to learn about some amazing brands.
The event also raising awareness for a charity. In this instance, the charity was ‘Share the Dignity’.
Share the Dignity is an amazing not-for-profit organisation that provides homeless and at risk women with sanitary items in the attempt to improve period poverty.
Founder Rochelle Courteney also spoke at the event to talk about the amazing work they do for women in need.
The Platinum Partner of the event was Ryobi. Ryobi is focused on breaking barriers in the power tool industry and is working towards inspiring women to challenge themselves, learn new skills and have some fun.
This was the 3rd time Ryobi participated at the event. At this event, Ryobi took creating a ‘brand experience’ to a whole new level. Kids Business worked with Share the Dignity to identify a family in need of a burst of happiness. Next up, all the influencers at the event – with Ryobi’s guidance, helped build the actual cubby house.
It was amazing!
Here’s Ryobi ambassador and Tool School Founder, Kerryn Carter with the final masterpiece:
Later that day, the Ryobi cubby house was transported directly to a family in need.
Here, Rochelle from Share the Dignity shares with us what happened:
“I was so grateful to speak at the Bloggers Brunch a great event run by Kids Business at Victoria Park Golf Complex. It was awesome to meet some amazing women who were already supporting Share the Dignity and to meet some new supports. It is my mission to ensure every women I can, knows about us and is aware that there are women and girls having to use socks, newspaper and wadded up toilet paper to deal with their period, I don’t believe there is a women alive that wouldn’t be empathetic and want to help is to Share the Dignity.
At the event Ryobi had all of us building this amazing cubby. The real cool thing about that is that I got to take these two gorgeous girls who have had a tough start to life but this cubby had them crying “I lub it” they were over the moon excited to be gifted this cubby house. Mum was so grateful and there were tears and laughter at the girl’s reactions. Thank you so much to all involved, from all the women that helped put together the cubby, Ryobi and Kids Business.”
Kids Business is so proud to be able to bring Ryobi, Share the Dignity and a roomful of generous influencers together to create a brand collab for social good!
Kids Business Managing Director, Christie Nicholas explains:
“For many years now, we have utilised the events for social good too, to raise awareness for charities doing amazing and often under recognised things for others in need. The Influencers at our events have always been incredibly supportive and vocal with promoting these charities via their impressive communities. It was amazing to go one step further and have a proactive and supportive brand partner Ryobi and influencers willing to pool together our efforts, connections, time and heart, to make this a very special day for this family in need. I’m so proud of everyone who made this happen.”
Ryobi continued:
“We are so happy to have been able to help this family and bring some joy into their lives in this time of need.” – Ryobi Australia
The efforts of Ryobi and every influencer at the event (who traded their sun hats for hard hats), played an enormous part in making one very special child’s day.
