In your opinion, what are 3 ways the QLD blogging community/ influencers are different to Sydney and Melbourne influencers?

  1. I think QLD bloggers have similar topics of content but have their own fresh and unique way of presenting the information. Our weather, seasons, school holidays and lifestyle is different and our content reflects that.
  2. Due to most company’s head offices being located in Sydney and Melbourne, Brisbane bloggers/influencers are always excited, motivated and grateful to take part in campaigns as they see missed opportunities quite regularly due to location.
  3. Due to our lifestyle, Brisbane Bloggers/Influencers are highly regarded and known for being easy to work with (most of the time anyway)!

Do you think there are more/less influencer events in Brisbane than Melbourne or Sydney? Does it matter?

I think there are less influencer events in Brisbane than Melbourne & Sydney; which is a real shame and a missed opportunity for brands.

Why should Melbourne or Sydney brands make the effort to participate in a Brisbane event and get to know Brisbane Bloggers/Influencers?

I think Brisbane is a little underestimated when it comes to bigger brand events for bloggers & Influencers. I think these brands would be pleasantly surprised at the strength and opportunities that are on offer through Brisbane bloggers/influencers. Parents love to see and hear about local influencers as they are relatable and they can follow up on recommendations e.g. great places for grab a coffee or acai bowl. Brisbane has a large area of reach up to the Sunshine coast and down to the Gold Coast.

Explain the best campaign you worked on with a brand you met at the bloggers Brunch. What (highlights) did the brand get out of this campaign?

I’ve worked on so many campaigns from video review for Dyson, and Easter treat hack with Mamee noodles, a kids review with Spriggy, a giveaway with Portable North Pole and had Skin Council Council sunscreen samples in gift bags. These brands have had the opportunity to reach a new audience from a business that they trust.

Would you recommend the Bloggers Brunch to brands? Why should brands come to the Brisbane Bloggers Brunch?

Of course! I think brands should showcase to Brisbane and IN Brisbane, as more of their demographic are able to attend an event at home rather than travelling to other States. I think a Brisbane based event will allow brands to get a better feel for these collaborative opportunities.

How are brands likely to feel after participating in the Brisbane Bloggers Brunch?

Again, I think the power behind QLD influencers for brands is an opportunity to brands that is currently wasted. Brisbane and surrounds hosts home to impressive numbers of bloggers with highly engaged and trusted audiences; covering so many industries. I think brands would be left wondering why they didn’t do it sooner.
